FWD leverages HKT SkyExchange to accelerate its expansion plans

FWD is one of Hong Kong’s fastest-growing insurance companies providing easy-to-understand and innovative insurance products and services, with the support of advanced digital technology.

The company needed more space to expand its IT facilities and relocate its in-house server room. It also needed to set up a regional hub to support its IT infrastructure across multiple offices in the Asia Pacific region and ensure that its staff and customers can have stable Internet access to product information hosted at the Company’s portal in Hong Kong when they travel abroad.

HKT SkyExchange is a tier 3 networked facilities management centre to accommodate FWD’s mission-critical enterprise system, high-power IT equipment and applications. The SkyExchange service also offered enhanced Internet access so that FWD’s staff and customers could enjoy fast and stable Internet access to the Company’s Hong Kong-hosted portal when they are travelling. SkyExchange also served as FWD’s information and network hub for Asia Pacific. HKT’s services included end-to-end relocation, project management, and a high speed leased-line connection.
