HKT launches AI Superhighway solutions

HKT (SEHK: 6823) – HONG KONG, 17 February 2025 – HKT today announces the launch of Asia's first¹ 800Gbps² Wide Area Network solution based on CE2.0 technology, the AI Superhighway, serving enterprises in Hong Kong.

HKT's 800Gbps AI Superhighway is a dedicated, fibre-based private network that provides super high-speed, ultra-low latency, reliable and highly secure network connections. It is designed to meet the increasing demand from businesses and institutions for advanced supercomputing capabilities driven by AI, machine learning, cloud services, edge computing and other data-intensive applications utilising high-performance computing.

The cutting-edge solution enables the rapid transfer of large datasets for LLM (Large Language Model) based AI model training and supports AI inference applications utilising high-performance computing resources, such as genomics and scientific simulations, and AI agent assist and virtual agents in contact centres.
